Cyber Technology Practice Program
The Cyber Technology Practice Program (CTPP) is seeking students interested in enhancing their selected academic major courses of learning with non-credit, asynchronous courses leading to industry-recognized professional certificates and badges. Completing CTPP can provide new Louisiana Tech graduates a competitive edge among peers seeking jobs in the workplace. As computer technology is essential in many broad categories of industry, government and private sectors, students from any major may apply to the program. The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) will provide the asynchronous course instruction, applied labs and exams. Successful completion each quarter will result in ISACA awarding badges and certificates which are valuable in building your professional resume. Students accepted into CTPP will have all ISACA fees paid for each quarter they are enrolled.
Additionally, the CTPP will award up to $1,500.00 per quarter to be applied to traditional academic tuition. This program is available fall quarter 2024 through summer quarter 2025. Students may apply during any of the four quarters in the time period.
The courses to be offered and ISACA certificates awarded upon successful completion are: Fall 2024 – Emerging Technology Fundamentals: Cloud, AI, Block Chain, and Internet of Things; Winter 24-25 – Network & Infrastructure Fundamentals; Spring 2025 – choice of Cybersecurity Fundamentals OR IT Audit and IT Risk Fundamentals; Summer 2025 – Data Science Fundamentals.
