Fibrebond Non-Endowed Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide a total scholarship award of $40,000 over four years to help defray cost-of-living expenses for a recipient of Louisiana Tech University’s Presidential Scholarship who is majoring in engineering. The initial award of $10,000 will be given to an incoming freshman. For purposes of this scholarship and agreement, freshman refers to an incoming student even though dual enrollment hours may technically qualify them as a sophomore. If the recipient completes an 8-week paid internship at Fibrebond during the summer after their first year, satisfies the requirements to maintain the Presidential Scholarship, and continues to major in engineering, the scholarship will be renewed at the $10,000 level for their second academic year. If the recipient completes an additional paid internship during the summer after their second academic year, the recipient will receive $10,000 awards in the fall of their third and fourth academic years if they continue to qualify for the Presidential Scholarship and continue to major in engineering.
