John Ardis Cawthon Endowment Scholarship

John Cawthon dedicated his life to teaching and helping prospects to become teachers. To recipients of scholarship funds from the “John Ardis Cawthon Endowment”, family members offer congratulations on having chosen a noble profession and wish for them ever success in “affecting eternity”.

Selection Criteria:

1. The recipient shall pursue a teacher preparation program.
2. The recipient shall demonstrate a need for financial assistance in order to obtain an education at Louisiana Tech University.
3. The recipient shall have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.
4. The recipient shall demonstrate a commitment to the teaching profession in the same spirit of dedication reflected in the life of John Ardis Cawthon.
5. The recipient shall maintain a GPA of 2.5 on all work pursued during each year in order to retain the scholarship.
