Phil Israel Engineering Scholarship
Phil Israel donated the “Phil Israel Engineering Scholarship” to Louisiana Tech University.
Selection Criteria:
- The scholarship recipient(s) must be registered and remain registered as a full-time student for the quarter in which he/she receives the scholarship at Louisiana Tech University.
- A four-year scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman student who is a graduate of Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, who will be majoring in a curriculum within the College of Engineering and Science.
- The scholarship recipient must have participated in the Engineering Magnet Program and must have a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- The scholarship will be awarded based upon teacher recommendations taking into account student academic achievement and participation in athletics and/or other extracurricular activities.
To retain the award for 4 years, the student must continue to be a COES major and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA.
