“Jim and Ruth Summer Language Study Abroad Scholarship”

Selection Criteria:

1. The scholarship will be awarded to a student participating in Louisiana Tech’s study abroad program in either Spain or Costa Rica.
2. Scholarship(s) will be awarded in the quarter of the study abroad travels or when such sums for study abroad travels become due.
3. The scholarship will be awarded based upon academic merit, though a student’s need may be a factor.
4. All scholarship applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from professors.
5. All scholarship applicants must submit a personal essay in which he/she explains how study abroad will benefit him/her in the future.
