Dr. Abraham Attrep Endowed Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide support for students who have demonstrated strong academic potential for the study of History. It is the Donor’s desire that the number of recipients of the scholarship in any given year be limited such that each award makes a significant impact on the recipient’s ability to pursue a degree. The scholarship will be open to all applicants subject to the following criteria and preferences to the extent allowed by law and consistent with the policies of Louisiana Tech University and the University of Louisiana System:

A. Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and can be an incoming freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior.
B. Preference for students majoring in History.
C. Preference for students with strong academic potential, including those who may have faced obstacles and challenges that at some point negatively affected their grade point average.
D. Preference for students with significant, demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid
